Citrix on a Mac - Launching an Application
Note: this exercise launches SPSS as an example and assumes the user has an SPSS file saved on his/her hard drive.

01. Now that Citrix is open, click once on the Statistical Applications folder.
 
02. Click once on SPSS.
 
03. Click once on the Trust button.
 
04. Wait as Safari contacts the Citrix server.
 
05. Click the OK button.
 
06. When SPSS launches, it will give you a set of options to choose from. We will open an existing data source so click the OK button.
 
07. On the left hand side, click once on the icon for My Computer.
 
08. You will be asked to grant read access. Click on the Yes button.
 
09. Double click on the H$ drive. This will be your user directory on the machine you are sitting in front of.
 
10. Double click on the Documents folder.
 
11. Double click on your SPSS file to open it.
 
12. You will be asked to grant write access. Click the Yes button.
 
13. If SPSS minimizes itself, just maximize it from the Dock. It will be to the far right of the Dock, near the end, and it will have the SPSS icon but will be labeled as Safari.
 
14. SPSS should now have data.
 
15. Scroll down to the last row and then on the next row, add some data.
 
16. Save your changes with a new name by going to File and selecting Save As.
 
17. Give your file a new name and click the Save button. This will save the new file in the same location as the file you opened.
