Citrix on a Mac - Printing from an Application
Note: this exercise launches SPSS as an example to print. The same procedure can be applied to any Citrix Application.

01. Go to File -> Open -> Data. Open the smoking.sav file.
 
02. Maximize SPSS if you need to and then go to Graphs and select Scatter/Dot.
 
03. With Simple Scatter selected, click the Define button.
 
04. Define Staff Group [staff] as the X-Axis, count as the Y-Axis and Smoking [smoke] as Set Markers by. Then click OK.
 
05. View your pretty little Scatter graph.
 
06. From the Output window, go to File and select Print.
 
07. Note the default (and only) printer - PDFCreator. Click OK to begin printing.
 
08. Watch as the magic begins.
 
09. PDFCreator opens a dialogue box to set PDF attributes. The only thing you MUST do is uncheck the box for "After saving open the document with the default program". Then, click the Save button.
 
10. Now you can give your PDF any name you want. But first you must save it to your local drive and not the server. Click once on the My Computer icon.
 
11. You will be asked to grant read access. Click Yes.
 
12. Double click the H$ drive.
 
13. Double click the Documents directory.
 
14. If you like, you can change the file name otherwise click Save.
 
15. You will be asked to grant write access. Click Yes.
 
16. Open your Documents directory. Your PDF file should be there.
 
17. Print your PDF file to your own printer.
