The College Library Instructional Computing Commons (CLICC) Lab located in 145 Powell Library Building, offers Windows desktops, iMacs, printers, scanners, and helpful staff.

Peak Hours

Peak hours are usually weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During peak hours when all computer stations are being used, there is a two-hour time limit per user. Pagers are distributed to alert waiting users when a station becomes available.

Ten-minute stations are available for quick tasks like printing. If you want to use a station for longer, see the CLICC consultant at the front counter; if there's a station available either in the lab or in the electronic learning spaces they'll send you right to it. But if not, they'll give you a pager so you can wait comfortably in the surrounding area, and when a station is available, the pager will vibrate. If your pager does not vibrate in the estimated wait time given to you by the consultant, please come back to the counter to check on your status.

Computers

There are seventy four sit-down Windows desktop stations, nine ten-minute Windows desktop stations, and nine iMac stations in the CLICC lab. The Windows desktop stations contain the same hardware and software as the Electronic Learning Spaces on the third floor of the Powell Library Building. The iMac stations have the same software as CLICC macbook laptops and the Media Stations. Please see Equipment for a comparison and description of CLICC computer hardware, and Software List for a list of software available on our Mac and Windows machines.

Printers and Scanners

The CLICC Lab has black and white printers, and one color laserjet printer available for users. Users may print from any desktop station in the lab. For details on printing charges and processes at CLICC, please see Printers. For details on the printer specifications, please see Equipment.

There are also scanners in the CLICC Lab, 145 Powell Library Building and Classrooms, 320C Powell Library Building. For more details about how to use the scanners, please see Scanners. For details on scanner specifications, please see Equipment.
