The College Library Instructional Computing Commons (CLICC) coordinates reservations for the six (6)
College Library group study rooms
located in the Powell Reading Room, first floor of the Powell Library Building. The College Library Group Study Rooms offer a convenient way for a small group of students to work in quiet and isolation.
Reserving and Using a Room
Study Rooms are available for use by UCLA students, faculty and staff only. Rooms must be occupied by at least two people.
To reserve a room:
- For same-day or next-day reservations, users may call 310.206.0271 or come in-person to the College Library Instructional Computing Commons (CLICC), 145 Powell Library Building.
- Reservations require recording the user's initials and nine digit University ID number in the reservation record.
Please note the following:
- Reservation requests for same-day or next-day use will be accepted in-person or by phone.
- Users may request a 2-hour maximum per reservation with no recurring reservations.
- Rooms will be available, if not checked-out 15 minutes after time reserved.
- Renewal for additional time is permitted, if the room has no pending reservation.
- All Powell Library Building Use Policies apply.
To use the room:
- Users must show their current UCLA BruinCard at the time of their reservation in the CLICC Lab, 145 Powell Library Building.
- Users will be given a receipt to display in the room during their reserved time.
- Receipts should be returned to the CLICC Lab at the end of the reserved time.
In the rooms
All group study rooms have a desk, several chairs, and a whiteboard to use. Dry-erase markers and erasers are not provided. Some rooms also all come with a big-screen LCD monitor to which users may connect a laptop for display or presentation purposes.
